Cho Liang Lin

Born in Taiwan, Cho-Liang Lin is a world-renowned violinist celebrated for his artistry, teaching, and leadership in the classical music world. From his early studies with legendary teacher Dorothy DeLay at Juilliard to his debut with the New York Philharmonic at age 20, Lin has performed with the world's leading orchestras and at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
As an educator, Lin has inspired countless musicians at the Juilliard School and Rice University. His passion for nurturing young talent led him to found the Taipei Music Academy & Festival, where he continues to bring together world-class faculty and gifted students.
In addition to his performance and teaching career, Lin is a champion of contemporary music, commissioning and premiering works by some of today’s most influential composers, including John Williams, Tan Dun, and Esa-Pekka Salonen. His many recordings on labels like Sony Classical and Decca have earned him numerous accolades, including Grammy nominations and Gramophone Record of the Year.
Currently, Lin serves as the Artistic Director of the J&A Beare Premier Festival in Hong Kong and continues to inspire audiences and students around the world with his dedication to advancing the art of classical music.
